Performance Racing Group Makes It's NASA Debut

PRG made it's NASA debut at Mid-Ohio, April 9-11, preparing the Viper of driver Scott Welham. The weekend got off to a start with cold, rainy snowy Friday morning. By mid afternoon, the sun appeared and were underway. PRG general manager, Greg Robb thought it was just enough to start learning what makes the Viper work. Saturday did not go so well. A radiator leak was discovered during the Saturday morning engine warmup. This sidelined the car for the day while a radiator was being procured. The PRG guys made good use of time by working with the car's setup. Greg and the PRG guys had the car on the Intercomp scales all day, changing heights, cambers and corner weights. Much time was also spent on the car's Moton shocks and Hyperco springs. According to Greg " Saturday's misfortune provided us much needed time to learn about this car. It certainly for a better and quicker car for Sunday's race.

On Sunday driver Scott Welham drove good solid race to finish 6th place. Being my first race in 8 months, " I did not want to get too carried away"  commented Scott.  With PRG's professional preparation, "I think I will do quite well in this year's NASA events". Scott and the PRG staff is looking forward to the next event at Putnam Park, May 15th

When we got the Viper, we were very surprised the number of parts on the car that are from Performance Racing Group.  Tilton diff pumps, Aeroquip hose & fittings, Protex body latches, Setrab oil coolers, Champion spark plugs, Motec data system and more.  The only thing different that we added were Performance Friction brake pads.
